Gayle Hensley is a 15-year-old daughter of Demeter. Her roleplayer is MermaidatHeart.

Biography[]

Gayle was born on September 23 to Demeter and Stephen Hensley, a farmer. Stephen had always been one to be with animals and nature rather than people, and Demeter found she liked him that way. Stephen began having feelings for Demeter, not aware of her true self. They spent hours together on Stephen's farm, and when they'd been together for a month, Stephen asked her to marry him. Demeter hesitated, knowing Zeus would be mad, but she didn't want to hurt Stephen's feelings, so she accepted his marriage. On the wedding day, during the reception, Demeter admitted who she really was to Stephen and told him she couldn't stay with him. At first, Stephen was mad, but he got over it. About three months later, Gayle was sent down to Stephen in a cradle, with a letter from Demeter that read:

Dear Stephen,

Thought I actually forgot about you, huh? This is our daughter.

Raise her well, and when she's 13, I'll take it from there.

Early Life[]

Gayle was raised by Stephen to love all nature and animals, which she does to this day. On her 13th birthday, Stephen had been told what to make Gayle do, so he told Gayle that a rabid beast was deep in the forest, and he believed she could handle it. Gayle went into the forest, and found the minotaur, which she was able to ride and defeat with her bare hands. The second she defeated him, she got claimed. When she raced back to ask Stephen what happened, he told her the truth about the Greek gods. She denied everything, but had no choice but to follow Clover, who had been sent by Demeter, to Camp.
